The Common People Inventory needs you to come to life.
A manila envelope was found in 2016 in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais - Brazil, containing over five hundred 3x4 photographs of ordinary, unknown people. Faced with the impossibility of tracing the package's origin and the stories of the individuals pictured, we invite you to help us (re)invent their biographies. Who were these people or who could they have been? In what ways can we imagine their existences?
Your story will join many others being written virtually and in person. All these stories together will continuously form a collective fiction about the 3x4 images, integrating various artistic formats such as a book and an videoart site specific.
To participate, it's simple: on the homepage, click on the photo you choose. Take a good look at it, read some of the already written accounts if you wish, and then use the form available at the bottom of the page to answer the following question: "Who is this person or who could they be?" Write freely, embrace the story as your own, join the inventory, and help us unravel the mysteries that inhabit the faces of this archive.
